Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、東北アジアにおける海洋帝国（大英帝国、スペイン帝国等）と大陸帝国（ロシ ア帝国）の移民政策を対象とし、スペイン植民地省の移民受け入れに関する未発掘の公文書、ポルトガル植民地省の史料、イギリスの国立歴史公文書館の史料調査、そしてロシアの19世紀の刊行物等を分析することで、「海洋帝国」と「大陸帝国」の移民政策を比較研究する。具体的には、1）帝国の構想、構造的変化における移民政策および植民事業に関する議論を検証し、2）移民の観点から見た「帝国」の類型論を発展 させ、3）華北などの地域での移民募集を分析に加えることで、 東アジアからの年季奉公労働の歴史を見直し、帝国論を再考することを目指す。
