Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は19世紀から20世紀中盤にかけて、アメリカ、日本、ハワイなど太平洋世界を舞台に社会改良運動や反戦平和運動に従事した国際的団体による域際的かつ重層的な活動の歴史を明らかにする。とりわけアメリカ人、日本人女性キリスト者の活動に着目することによって近年提唱されている太平洋史研究の現状にジェンダーや人種、帝国主義との関連など新たな視点を提供しようとするものである。
