Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、1696年蝦夷地に漂着した朝鮮人関連記録を対象として、近世前期における松前蝦夷地の地域史および対外関係史の理解を深めることを目的とする。朝鮮漂流民によるアイヌ文化の記述、地理認識や和人の活動、交流に関与した人物の記録を検討し、当時の接触のあり方やその認識の一端を捉える。また、各記録の成立背景と記述の特徴を比較検討し、それらが持つ史料的意義や相互関係について考察を行う。日韓横断的な研究方法を通じて、従来の和人中心的な歴史像に対し、国際的かつ多角的に松前蝦夷地を捉える視点を加えることを試みる。
