Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、兵庫開港・大阪開市をめぐる問題を軸に、通時的に幕末史を再検討する。まず2025年度には、兵庫開港・大阪開市を条約で定めた安政5年（1858）を重点的に分析する。また2026年度には、その開港・開市延期問題が浮上する文久2年（1862）を、27年度には兵庫沖に英仏米蘭4カ国の艦隊が結集する慶応元年（1865）を、そして最終年度の2028年度には兵庫開港の勅許が下る慶応3年（1867）の4つの時期の検討を進める。4年間を通じて、4つの年を重点的に検討し、最終的にそれらの点をつないで、兵庫開港・大阪開市問題を軸とした、一貫した視点による幕末政治・外交史像の描出をめざす。
