Outline of Research at the Start	適確な本文の確定は文献史学の基礎作業であるが、平安貴族社会研究では必要な史料の多くが刊行されていることから、自ら写本調査を行って本文を確認する研究動向が、他時代に比べ大きくはない。このような中で近年、昭和以前に刊行された史料叢書である『群書類従』『続群書類従』『続々群書類従』『歴代残闕日記』などが、フルテキストデータやデシタル画像によって公開されている。一見すると研究に至便なツールであるが、上述の基礎作業を置き去りにしている状況は、文献史学にとって大きな問題であろう。歴史研究の電子化が急展開している今こそ、写本調査と校合による適確な本文の確定が、喫緊の課題として重要性を増しているのである。
