Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、近世・近代における諏訪地域の社会構造を明らかにすることを目的とする。高島藩関係史料と諏訪大社関係史料を中心に用い、近世後期から明治初年の諏訪大社の社中構造と朱印地支配の分析を行い、その特質を追究する。また、高島藩士による土地所持の問題や諏訪大社に編成された民間宗教者の活動実態、さらには近世近代移行期における高島藩や諏訪社家による医療・教育の思想的背景について、教育史の観点から、未整理史料群の整理・目録作成を実施しつつ追究する。かかる横断的な手法とその統合により、高島藩と諏訪大社を核とした近世諏訪地域の社会構造とその変容を明らかにする。
