Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、浄土宗総本山「知恩院文書」について、原本の悉皆調査にもとづいて全体像を把握して調査のデータ統合を図り、史料群として生成・管理の復元的分析を行なう史料学的研究である。知恩院文書は、一部が中・近世の知恩院や浄土宗教団史、地方末寺や檀中の動向に利用されてきたが、京都の門前町の都市社会史だけでなく、幕府・大名・朝廷をめぐる寺院行政史研究においても重要な位置を占める。なかでも同院文書の中核をなす役者「日鑑」や未公開の「帳場日鑑」の整理・調査、データベース化は必要不可欠なものであり、それらを含め知恩院文書全体を中・近世寺院史、政治史、地域社会史研究の研究資源として公開していくことを目指す。
