Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、インドネシア（旧蘭印）の政治経済の中心ジャワ島における華僑社会の日本軍政下（1942年3月～45年8月）における動態を、同島第二の都市スラバヤに焦点を当て、地方の文脈から解明することを目的とする。主資料として、軍政期前半に同地で刊行されていた華僑向け日刊紙『商報（Pewarta Perniagaan）』を含む定期刊行物、軍政関係資料を分析し、日本・華僑側のエゴ・ドキュメント等の開拓を行う。本研究では主に①スラバヤの華僑系組織とその指導者層の変遷、②華僑学校の教育体制・内容、③華僑の防衛動員の展開の3点に焦点を当て、当該社会が軍政期にいかなる経験をしたかを実証的・具体的に把握する。
