Outline of Research at the Start

「不潔な中世都市」のイメージを否定する中世環境史研究の議論を踏まえ、本研究はエスノメソドロジーの概念を応用しながら、違反摘発記録等に記された法的実務を、規制する側（都市政府）と規制される側（住民）との間の法の理解をめぐる「相互行為」と捉える。この視座からテキストマイニングによって中世イタリアの都市史料の文言を分析し、当時の生活・衛生環境の保全に関する意識や論理を検証すると共に、規制する側とされる側の意識の共有や齟齬を読み解き、両者の協働で成立した法的秩序の像を再構築する。
