Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、具体的には、（A）市場と生業の空間構造、（B）動物と都市環境、（C）水と公衆衛生という三つの個別テーマを設定し、上記の課題へのアプローチを試みる。現在よりも環境要因にはるかに大きく依存していた当時の都市社会を生きた人々の生活空間の実態とその長期的な変化を明らかにする本研究は、新たな「中・近世ヨーロッパ都市」像を提示するという最終的な目標を達成するための基盤研究に位置づけられる。
