Outline of Research at the Start	文化財保存の分野では、皮革文化財の動物種や鞣し剤種を非破壊で識別する方法が確立されておらず、画一的な修復処置が施されることで、貴重な文化財が損なわれる可能性がある。本研究では、人工知能（AI）の画像認識技術を活用し、皮革の動物種・鞣し剤種を識別するシステムの構築を目指す。AIに対し、未劣化・劣化・文化財の皮革画像を段階的に学習させ、検証を重ねながら識別精度を向上させる。本システムは、非破壊で両者を同時に識別可能な世界初の試みであり、他素材への応用も期待される。文化財保存分野に革新をもたらし、より適切な修復・保存処置の確立に貢献する研究である。
