Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、現代日本の地方圏における地域社会の構造とその地理的特徴を解明することである。日本の地域社会の中心的な担い手は，従前より地縁組織であった。しかし，現代では目的や関心を一にする人たちが自主的に結成するアソシエーション型の組織や，特に地方圏では移住者や関係人口等も地域社会の担い手として定着している。そのため，現代の地域社会は従来よりも多様な組織や個人が関わる空間と特徴づけられる。他方で，地域社会をめぐっては近年，地域自治組織と呼ばれる，「協議機能」や「実施機能」を有した公的な住民組織が，地方圏を中心に普及している。本研究ではこの地域自治組織に着目し，地方圏の地域社会の構造を分析する。
