Outline of Research at the Start	バスク地方では、1970年代末に自治体制が確立されて以降、バスク語話者コミュニティの再活性化だけではなく、食文化の活性化によるネイション形成が進行している。そこで本研究では、バスク地方を社会的に構築された1つの地域システムと定義し、システム内外で食文化に関与する諸主体（州政府、農漁業生産者、飲食業関係者、生産者組合、原産地呼称統制委員会など）の言説や行為、主体間の力学が、バスクの食文化のナショナルな資本としての価値を高め、食文化が州政府の推進するネイション活性化戦略の一部として機能するようになる過程を、現地調査と理論的研究により解明する。
