Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、産業革命期および高度経済成長期における日常生活の構造およびその空間変化を歴史地理学の視点から解明し、「日常生活空間史」という新たな学術知を創出することを目的とする。
その際、①自然と人間との関係性をふまえた物質循環の視点を導入し、歴史地理学と生態学を組み合わせた新しい分析枠組みを構築すること、②日本との比較研究として、アメリカ合衆国、フランス、イタリアなどでの地域調査を実施し、資本主義社会の展開を新たな角度から議論するための「日常生活空間比較史」として、国際的な知見を提出することを目指す。
