Outline of Research at the Start

本研究はスズメバチ類の食習慣が盛んな長野・岐阜・愛知県等中部山間地域を対象とし、スズメバチ類の捕獲・飼育・食利用の民俗学・生態人類学的な調査を行い、（1）その分布域と地域性を明確にし、（2）人とスズメバチ・自然との関わり方と、スズメバチを介した人々のネットワークに関する研究の集成を目的とする。中部山間地域におけるスズメバチ類の捕獲は、食用のみならず当事者に楽しみを与える「遊び仕事」として継続されてきた。特に在来知に基づくクロスズメバチの伝統的な「飼育」においては、新たな技術が次々と創出され、その共有も進むようになった。本研究は、こうした伝統と変容を民俗誌映像として記録し国内外へ情報を発信する。
