Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、オマーン研究およびオマーン史において等閑視されてきた奴隷女性の「生」を明らかにし、地域史的文脈と世界史的文脈に位置づける。さらに、現代オマーン社会における家事使用人（外国人ハウスメイド）も考察対象に含めることで、ポストコロニアル時代にまで続く帝国的親密圏の継続性や、長期的視点での家内労働および家庭内の権力関係の変遷を探求する。この総合的アプローチにより、帝国研究に新たな視座を提供するだけでなく、BLM（Black Lives Matter）運動や女児労働など、現代の国際的な人権問題への理解も深化させることが期待される。
