Outline of Research at the Start

本研究計画は沖縄県において「文化財」「文化遺産」に関する社会通念が、いかに形成されたのかを明らかにすることを目的とする。文化財cultural heritageとはある特定の文化事象を「財」として価値づける社会的コンセンサスだということができる。沖縄は日本本土とは異なる歴史的背景を持つうえ、沖縄地上戦の惨禍と、戦後の観光開発によって、その特異な文化が「文化財」と見なされるには特異な過程を辿っている。本研究はデータサイエンス手法を援用した新しい史資料分析の枠組みを開拓しつつ、沖縄のローカルな文化事象が「文化財」化していったプロセスを、微細かつ全体的に捉え返すことを目指すものである。
