Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、奴隷にされたアフリカの人々によってブラジルに伝承されたアフリカン・ディアスポラダンスの中でも特にブラジル北東部を発祥とする舞踊を事例に、マルチモーダル民族誌を方法論として、音楽との対応関係、文化的特性や伝承されてきた民俗知を明らかにすると共に、独自の記譜法や記述を用いた文化の記録保存方法について問い直すことを目的としている。マルチモーダル民族誌（Multimodal Ethnography）とは、文字による記述だけでなく、映像・写真・音声・身体表現・デジタルメディアなど、複数のモード（様式）を組み合わせて文化や社会の実態を記録・分析・伝達する民族誌の方法である。
