Outline of Research at the Start	中近世(中世・近世)日本における法と慣習について、理論・実証・比較の観点からの総合的な研究を行う。本研究は、中近世を中心に前近代日本における法の構造や特質、ならびにそこで形成された様々な秩序の成り立ちを、比較法史の観点から明らかにすること、そして、個別の法・制度の分析に加え、法と慣習という観点から前近代日本法の研究の枠組みの全体を問い直すことを課題とする。日本の研究者だけではなく、欧米やアジアの研究者との国際研究を通じて、新たな視点や論点を開拓していくことを目指す。
