Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、日本の地方選挙における選挙公営制度の事例から、選挙運動に対する公的助成の意義と問題を実証的に明らかにすることを目的としたものである。選挙公営制度は、選挙運動費用を公費負担することで、選挙における候補者の機会均等を図る制度であるが、実際にこの制度がどのような効果を有しているのかは定かではない。本研究では、日本の地方選挙のデータを用いて、選挙公営制度の導入が選挙結果に与える影響を明らかにすることを試みる。
