Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、相互に関連しあう次の3つの事例、1）1953年の閣議決定「東南アジア地域に対して医療協力を実施するために必要なる措置を取るの件」以来、戦後賠償の一環として1960年代にかけて日本が東南アジア諸国（とくにカンボジア、タイ、ビルマ）に対して展開した一連の医療・保健外交、2）米国が発足させた「SEATO医学研究試験所」の活動、3）1965年ジョンソン・佐藤会談の合意に基づき発足させ、今もなおグローバルヘルスに資するものとして機能し続けている「日米医学協力計画」の歴史的経緯について分析する。
