Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、COVID-19の入院患者に備えて導入された「病床確保料」が、新規入院患者数に及ぼした効果を、医療機関単位で入院患者数を把握可能な病床機能報告を用いて明らかにする。中でも2022年1月の即応病床の実質化と、2023年5月8日のCOVID-19の5類移行によってなされた確保病床・即応病床の縮小化を分析する。2つの研究内容ともにすべての病院が病床確保料の変更の影響を受けるため、比較対照群となる病院が存在しないが、データ期間を工夫することで比較対照群を見出したり、統計分析手法を工夫することで、あたかも実験された状況に近づけ、病床確保料が果たした効果を検証する。
