Outline of Research at the Start

日本の政府債務残高はGDPの2倍を超えており、財政健全化は日本にとって喫緊の課題である。本研究は、（１）悪化の一途を辿った財政バランスや累増した政府債務は日本経済（インフレ、GDP、為替など）に短期的・長期的にどのような影響を与えたか、（２）歳出、歳入、財政健全化に関する不確実性はどの程度で、それぞれ日本経済に短期的・長期的にどのような影響を与えたか、というテーマについて分析を行う。複数の理論的・実証的なアプローチを用いて分析を行うことで新たな知見を得る。学術的な貢献をする目的に加え、財政健全化に向けて今後のマクロ経済政策に関するインプリケーションを整理することも重要な目的となる。
