Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、開発途上国におけるインフラストラクチャー整備事業及びマイクロ・ファイナンス事業の事業効果について実証分析を行う。具体的には、ザンビア、ミャンマーの給水施設建設事業とインドの女性自助組織を基盤とした少額融資事業をとり上げ、事業の健康改善効果と就労世代の労働参加促進効果を検証する。こうした事業は当該国における様々な社会・経済的障害によりしばしば期待通りの結果を実現することができておらず、更なる学術的知見の蓄積が求められている。本研究の研究成果を活用することで、そうした障害をとり除き、開発途上国の人々の健康状態の改善と労働参加を促進し、所得の向上の実現につながることが期待される。
