Outline of Research at the Start

低成長が続く日本においては、潜在成長率の向上が求められている。そのためには生産性の向上が喫緊の課題であるが、日本の生産性水準は米国と比べても低いまま推移している。資源の非効率的な配分の結果、マクロの生産性が向上しないとの指摘もある。本研究課題では、非効率的な資源配分の要因として規制に注目する。まずは規制の程度や推移を網羅的に把握できる新たな手法を用いて、産業別の規制指標を作成し、産業間の規制の程度の比較や時系列的な変化を把握する。次に構築した規制指標と資源配分の効率性の関係やマクロ経済指標との関係を明らかにし、規制の程度を変化させることで、どの程度経済に影響があるのかを実証的に分析する。
