Outline of Research at the Start

This research investigates the relationship between biodiversity and firm value, using data of Japanese listed firms. We examine the effects of Corporate Biodiversity Footprint and Dependency on firms' financial performance. The collapse of the ecosystems together with increased regulations will damage firms’ operating profit. Therefore, firms need to conserve the biodiversity in order to sustain their business in the long-term.
