上場企業の自己株式取得や終了に関するアナウンスメントは、全てTDnetで速やかに開示される。そこで最初に、企業の自社株買いに関する開示情報をTDnetから取得してそれをデータベース化する。次に、自己株式取得期間および達成率を測定するとともに自己株式取得終了日前後の市場の反応を検証する。さらに、自己株式取得公表日に同時公表されている他の情報の情報内容を精査し、それをコンセンサス予想を用いてGood NewsとBad Newsに識別する。最後に、自己株式の売主が企業の内部者であることが疑われるToSTNeT買付を取得日程パターンから特定し、その売主が企業の内部者に該当するかどうかについて調査する。
