Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、戦前期の日本の銀行業について、いつ、どのようにして預金銀行へ転換したのか、また銀行が貸出原資の中心を自己資本から預金へと移行させた原動力は何であったのか、そのメカニズムを解明することを目的とする。先行研究では見過ごされてきた銀行自己資本の役割に注目し、銀行システムの預金銀行化のプロセスを再考する。銀行のミクロデータを構築して、銀行の貸出行動や利益構造、銀行とステークホルダーとの関係性を分析することで、こうした構造変化をもたらした要因を実証的に解明する。日本の金融システムの発展段階を明らかにするとともに、現代の多様な金融の在り方についても示唆を得ることを目指す。
