Outline of Research at the Start	企業サステナビリティ（CS）を実現するサステナビリティ経営（SM）の実効性とそのあり方がなぜ不透明なのかを学術的問いとした上で、①CS要因の優劣は何で決まるのか、②SM内容になぜバリエーションが生じるのか、③SM体制はいかに定着するのか、という研究課題を明らかにしつつ、研究を推進する効果的な方法等を特定する。そして、理論仮説としてＨ1：CSを構成する要因のコンプライアンスを充足すればSMの有効性が高まる、Ｈ2：CSを構成する要因の効率性を高めればSMの有効性が高まる、Ｈ3：CSを構成する要因のイノベーションを促進すればSMの有効性が高まる、という3つを想定し、その理論的・実証的解明を図る。
