新しいエコシステムの生成プロセスはどのような軌跡を沿って生成・形成されていくのかである。具体的には、そのプロセスに参加する4つの領域に参画し、サプライチェーンを形成する企業の特徴と役割は何か。さらに、時間経過を考慮し、4つの領域における中核企業の機能と生成スピードや不足技術の補充、イノベーション活動に与える要因とメカニズムは何かについて明らかにする。そのため、企業間関係と連携の次元で質的・量的分析を行いつつ、水素エネルギーに最も親和性の高い日韓両国を取り上げ、その進展プロセスや参画企業または機関の役割などについて国際比較研究も行う。
