Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、1950年代に日本社会学会によって実施された農村SSM調査についてアーカイブ資料から再構成して調査の実際を明らかにし、調査に従事した有賀喜左衛門や森岡清美ら社会学者たちの研究キャリアや戦後初期の調査状況を重ね合わせて本調査を立体的に捉え直し、成果を示せないまま埋もれた理由と背景を検討する。そのねらいは、農村SSM調査が顕在化させた農村の社会構造を捉える難しさや調査法的限界の再検証によって、経験社会学的な方法論的諸問題を示す課題として考察することにある。1950年代に顕著になった社会調査の社会科学化過程に位置づけて歴史社会学的な検討を加え、現代に至る社会調査の系譜の再構築をめざす。
