Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は「仲介移民」を「ホスト国の言語・文化的スキルの所有により、同国の公的・私的機関に雇用され、出身国を同じくする他の移民に対して翻訳・通訳等のサービスを提供する移民 」と定義する。そして日本の地方圏を事例に、仲介移民は二ヶ国の言語・文化的スキルを用いて、どのようにその（移民とホスト国市民の間に立つ）中間的立場を経験しているのかを考察する。この問いを、就労と私的生活の両方の領域において調査する。上の問いを探究するため、本研究は日本の15の自治体において、外国人技能実習生らを仲介する移民、および日系南米人を仲介する移民を対象にインタビュー調査を行う。
