Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の目的は、20世紀の日本社会で、酒の効能をめぐって、どのような想像力や表象が流通していたか、という視点から、近代日本の勤労者たちの飲酒文化が、労働に順応した性質を濃厚にまとっていた可能性を検討することにある。たとえば酒の効能について、どのような主体が、どのような表象や学知を編成していたか。勤労者たちは、アルコールの労働上の効能について、どのようなイメージを抱いていたか。このような問題の検討作業を通じて、近代社会のなかでアルコール文化と生産労働が取り結んだ多元的な関係性を再考することがめざされる。
