Outline of Research at the Start

国際比較研究で使用される尺度は、欧米で開発されたものを日本語に訳して使用することが常態化している。それらの質問項目が、正確に日本の人々の意識や価値観を捉えられているとは限らない。本研究では、外国人に対する態度（偏見や排外意識）をテーマとし、１）外国人に対する態度の日本版尺度を開発すること、２）日本版尺度と欧米で開発された尺度が、異なる因子を測定しているのか否かを分析することを目的とする。本研究の結果は、国際比較調査の質問項目の改善に資するだけでなく，日本版と欧米版の尺度が異なる因子を測定していた場合には、文化や社会環境を考慮した尺度開発の重要性を訴えることになり、世界の研究の発展につながる。
