Outline of Research at the Start

近年、満洲等の旧植民地・占領地からの引揚げに関する史資料の発掘、整理が進み、引揚げをめぐる史的状況の解明が積極的に進められている。が、引揚孤児の問題は課題として取り上げられてこなかった。引揚孤児たちは、引揚時に幼い年齢であったため記憶が曖昧であり、自らの体験を語ることができないからである。一方、近年、児童福祉研究者の間で戦争孤児研究が隆盛している。が、やはり引揚孤児研究には至っていない。引揚孤児研究は、児童福祉史の視点のみならず、植民地・帝国史研究の視点も必要である。本研究は、児童福祉研究者と植民地・帝国史研究者の協働によって、引揚孤児研究に着手するものである。
