Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、1920年代の東京府社会事業協会が、日本に独占資本主義が成立する中で生み出された細民地区（スラム）の生活改善について、官民一体で多数の実践家と社会事業団体がどのように実施し、彼らの生活改善と生活文化の向上などをどう具体化したかを解明する。また、このような実践が、日本の社会事業期の特質を内包した存在と仮定して、その社会的役割と歴史的意義を分析する。
