Outline of Research at the Start

社会福祉や学校教育、様々な生活様式や文化のあり方など、現代の私たちの暮らしに密接にかかわる「社会のしくみ」は、どれも日本社会の近代化にともなって形成されてきた。社会福祉をはじめとする「しくみ」が今後も持続可能であるための基本的な考え方や人間観を模索するために、本研究では、教育者・社会事業家として早くから指導的役割を担った一人であるガントレット恒子（1873-1953）のライフヒストリーを横断的に検討することを通して、その源流を明らかにする。
