Outline of Research at the Start

高齢ドライバーの交通事故防止対策の一環として運転免許更新時に高齢者講習が行われている。講習の受講により補償運転の実施や車利用削減がある程度見られるが、運転ぶりの振り返りと行動改善目標の設定により、その効果が高まることを確認してきた。
本研究では、上記の効果をさらに高めるため、高齢者講習受講後に補償運転や車利用削減を行うドライバーの意識を調査し、講習後の行動変容に関連する心理的要因を明らかにする。その上で、心理的要因の向上を目指す教育プログラム・教材開発に取り組み、高齢者講習の受講と組み合わせて実施することで、補償運転や車利用削減を前向きに考え、実践できるようになることを目指す。
