Outline of Research at the Start

在日華僑は東アジアの激動な20世紀の社会変動の産物であり、日本と中国のはざまで生き抜いてきた。中華料理店などで働く彼らの多くは日本社会に融け込めず、孤立されている状況に置かれている。彼らは同年代の日本人よりも孤立されている。つまり、彼らの多くは所得が低いだけではなく、日本社会との接触も希薄である。他方、故郷とのつながりも薄くなった。老年期の在日華僑の社会ネットワークの参加状況と孤独の実態はどうであるか。その社会的な背景は何か。高齢化日本社会が主な原因なのか。移住者である彼らの立ち位置が主な原因なのか。本研究は実態調査によって、在日華僑の孤独問題の一般性と特殊性を明らかにする。
