Outline of Research at the Start

2018年度から実施してきた「島嶼地域型互助を基盤とする研究」をさらに発展させるものである。これまでの調査研究で、奄美大島の町村地域は過疎高齢化が進行し、地域機能低下を余儀なくされているが、相互扶助（互助）の地域文化とその精神が根強く残っている。この地域資源である「島嶼地域型互助」を福祉資源の観点から検証し、住民による介護互助実践モデルの開発・評価を行ってきた。この成果を踏まえ、限られた医療・介護資源及び住民の互助力を有効活用しながら、住み慣れた地域で最期まで暮らせるよう、小規模多機能型居宅介護を地域拠点とした住民主体の地域づくりの可能性を検証し、新たな島嶼地域型互助システム開発の一助とする。
