Outline of Research at the Start

乳幼児期の子の親との相互作用は情緒や社会性の発達の基礎となる。申請者は妊娠期マウスの腸内細菌叢を薬理学的に破壊すると親の仔に対する養育行動が変容することを見出した。本研究では、妊娠期の母親の食物繊維摂取状況および腸内発酵により生産される短鎖脂肪酸が子の親に示す愛着行動の形成に関与する可能性に着目し、モデル動物（マウス）を用いて実験的に検証する。
