Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、応募者が長年継続してきたイギリス女性教育史研究を基盤に、日本とイギリスおよびアメリカの女子教育との連関、さらには欧米型女子教育のアジア地域への波及の構造を、女性教育者・研究者のトランスナショナルな移動の分析を通して、歴史的実証的に明らかにすることを目的とする。具体的には、19世紀末から20世紀前半に本格化した日本の女性教育者・研究者の英米への留学や視察の経験に焦点をあて、西洋文化との接触による教育思想の変容と転移、海外の教育者や研究者とのつながりと交流、国内外の女性団体への関与を通したネットワークの形成について検討する。
