Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、1925（大正14）年に始まる男子中等学校以上への陸軍現役将校学校配属と翌1926（大正15）年に始まる青年訓練所における教練実施を「学校教練の拡充」ととらえ、①「学校教練の拡充」を主導した主体、②デモクラシー下の「社会的分断」やポピュリズムの台頭が「学校教練の拡充」に与えた影響、の二点の解明を目指す。そのため本研究は、防衛省・国立公文書館所蔵の公文書の分析を行うとともに、当時刊行された雑誌や新聞の記事や論説、その他の学校教練に関する刊行物に関する調査と分析を行うことによって「学校教練の拡充」が図られる経緯の検証に取り組み、学校教育と社会教育とを俯瞰的な視野で理解することを目指す。
