Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は1955年から1997年までの母親向け学習雑誌『母と子』を手がかりに母親に対する教育・学習活動の歴史的変遷を把握するとともに、戦後教育と民主主義が誰によってどのように語られ、これが母親たちに学習されたのかを、葛藤、誤解や拒否も含めて明らかにする。本研究を通して、母親たちが雑誌を媒介として教育やその背後にある社会、政治問題について学習し、考え、発信する主権者となることを狙いとした「民主主義のレッスン」の展開とその教育的意義について歴史的な示唆を与えることが期待される。
