Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の目的は、1970年代以降、国立の教員養成系大学・学部に設置された大学院（教育学研究科）に着目し、教員養成の高度化に果たした役割と課題を解明することである。国立の教員養成系大学・学部に設置された大学院（教育学研究科）の成立過程に関する研究は、資料的な制約から等閑視されたまま今日に至っている。本研究は、国立公文書館所蔵資料と各大学の所蔵資料を活用し、大学院設置が教員養成の高度化に果たした役割と課題を解明し、停滞が続く現代日本教員養成史研究や、今日混迷している教職大学院や教員養成改革（教育学部改革、現職教育制度改革）のあり方に対し、教育史的知見から解決策を検討する。
