Outline of Research at the Start

世紀転換期からヴァイマル共和国期において北ドイツで展開された新教育運動と芸術家コロニー運動の試みを「新しいヒューマニズム」と民主主義に向けた人間と共同体の形成運動と仮説的に捉え、この妥当性を史料に基づき検証した上で、その運動がもつ未発の可能性を考察する。そのことで、「人間と文化の探究たるヒューマニズム（人文研究）」とそれに基づく教育が、科学技術・自然科学の隆盛そして民主主義の変貌という状況下でどのようなかたちで保持・展開しうるのだろうか」という問いに答えようとする研究である。
