Outline of Research at the Start

視覚イメージを浮かべにくい特質をアファンタジア（aphantasia）という。ここ10年で，成人に関してはアファンタジアの割合や認知的特性が明らかにされてきたが，幼児や児童におけるアファンタジアの実態は不明である。イメージの有無や鮮明な程度は，他者からわかりにくいだけでなく，本人ですら自覚しにくい。そこで本研究では，アファンタジアの早期発見と支援を目的とし，就学前後の子どもを対象に，チェックリストの作成ならびに，支援や配慮が必要な場面の特定と支援方法の検討を行う。現在，保育や教育現場でアファンタジアの存在は，ほとんど知られていないため，本研究で得られた成果の社会的貢献は大きいと考えられる。
