Outline of Research at the Start

小学校や保育園等での給食時の窒息事故は毎年少なからず報告されているが、必ずしも障害がある子どもでの事故ではなく、健康な小児でも発生している現状である。本研究は、明らかな全身疾患はないのに食べることや話すことに問題を抱える「口腔機能発達不全症」と発達性協調運動症（DCD)と呼ばれるいわゆる「不器用さがある」子どもの安全な安心な食事支援のために、永久歯の生え替わりの時期を考慮しながら、学童を対象に咀嚼運動や姿勢運動、口腔感覚評価を行うものである。これにより食事や咀嚼に問題が生じる前に、歯並びや口腔感覚などの特性からDCDだけでなく、口腔機能に不安を抱える児童に対する支援方法を構築していく。
