Outline of Research at the Start	本研究では、主に小学生・中高生・大学生・社会人の4層を対象に、アンケート調査およびプールにおける実技試験を通じて、各年代のWater Competenceに関する実態を明らかにする。さらに、自然水域におけるリスク認知や安全行動に必要な要素を整理し、現行の水泳教育とのギャップを検証する。また、ノルウェー、ニュージーランド、アメリカといった水辺教育先進国との国際比較を通じて、日本特有の教育環境や自然災害リスクに適応した学習プログラムのあり方を探る。得られたデータはカリキュラム開発に反映され、科学的根拠に基づく防災教育の質的向上を目指すとともに、国際的な水難事故防止教育にも貢献することが期待される。
