Outline of Research at the Start

英国には280以上の高等教育機関(Higher Educational Institutions)が存在する。近年それらの多くで人文社会科学分野の学術プログラムが廃止または縮小され、英国の大学における人文社会科学は危機的な状況を迎えている。その結果、人文社会科学が主体となって推進されてきた学術知の脱植民地化の行く末が危惧される。同時に、大学の市場化が起因となって縮小している人文社会科学は、道具的価値に還元されない存在意義を求められている。本研究は複数の当事者へのインタビューを実施し、英国の大学における人文社会科学の危機とその行方についての実証的かつ質的な調査を行う。
